- Does Metriqal require attribution data (SKAN, ATT, MMP)?
- No. The competitor decline signal is entirely external: CCU trend, community sentiment, review velocity, ad library freshness. None of it touches your attribution stack. Post-ATT measurement fragmentation doesn't affect the signal quality — a competitor's CCU drop is observable regardless of whether your MMP is accurate. The lift validation ledger (Professional) uses your own first-party cohort data, not MMP output.
- What is the product readiness gate?
- Before surfacing a competitor window as actionable, Metriqal checks your own game's health. If your own 7-day retention drops more than 5 percentage points from its durable baseline, the spend directive is flagged — regardless of what competitors are doing. The gate is algorithmic and fires on every calculation automatically. Scaling into a competitor window while your own product has a retention cliff acquires players who won't stay — the gate prevents that. Starter gets a proxy-based version; Growth and above use real retention data.
- How does lift validation work?
- Every spend directive is validated 7 days post-execution using a two-proportion z-test on your own cohort data. Without a holdout, the lift estimate is directional — internally consistent but not causal proof. Wire a geo-split or customer-hash holdout through your CRM (Stripe, HubSpot, or Shopify — sync latency <15 min) and the same validation produces incremental evidence. The Professional tier includes the full ledger. The output is a sentence your finance director can use to justify the next budget increase: "spend window · retention +4.2pp · p=0.031 · holdout n=8,400 · incremental."
- What does "annual billing — 2 months free" mean?
- Annual pricing is calculated as 10 months × the monthly rate. You pay for 10 months up front and get 12 months of access. Growth annual: $9,990/yr (vs. $11,988 monthly). Professional annual: $24,990/yr (vs. $29,988 monthly).
- Can I export my data?
- Yes. All tiers include GS-CompInt-2026 exports. Your recommendations, outcomes, and measured-lift evidence are yours — downloadable at any time and re-validatable offline with
npx tsx scripts/validate-outcome.ts export.json. No Metriqal account required to run the validator.
- How does automated competitor discovery work?
- A daily cron job queries IGDB for high-popularity titles in your genre. We compute Jaccard similarity between their Steam tag profile and yours. Titles above a 0.30 similarity threshold appear in your watchlist as suggestions — you accept or dismiss them in the portal. Available on Growth and above.
